Friends & colleagues of the honorees including other celebrities allowed
for a huge turnout of this prestigious event despite the rainy weather. Guests
enjoyed a unique cocktail party and a fun red carpet extravaganza prior to the tributes and awards ceremony hosted by Frank Licari. String Theory Band did an outstanding job playing on and off all guests and highlighted the evening by adding drum 'rim shots' to Burt Reynolds' jokes in his acceptance speech. We are truly

Film Florida created the Film Florida Legends Awards to honor those individuals who have made a significant contribution to Florida’s Film & Entertainment industry. The 2011 Legends Awards recipients are:
§ Burt Reynolds, Actor/Director
§ Ray Fielding, Founder of the FSU Film Program
§ Dee Miller, Casting Directors Inc.
§ Victor Milt, Director/Cinematographer
§ Wes Skiles, Adventure Photographer (posthumous)
Film Florida is a not-for-profit corporation that provides a leadership role in Florida’s film and Entertainment industries by representing a coalition of interests, including private industry, local film commissions, labor organizations and industry associations.
