I arrived early being with the band String Theory and watched as the scene unfolded through out the event, until it winded down to the end. As the Restaurant vendors set up their booths, people started arriving early eagerly awaiting the samplings to be offered. It seemed though that the evening had other plans and the closer we got to 'Kick-off' time, the angrier the skies looked until what started as a sprinkle, turned into a downpour.  However, people were not turned away and their resilience to the weather was met with a multitude of umbrellas, standing in line for their turn. Our top was lowered and String Theory eager to play waited out the rain.
Eventually the weather subsided giving way to gorgeous skies and smiling people of all ages having fun eating great food and listening to String Theory music.
The Kick-off party to Flavor Palm Beach which was a benefit for the American Red Cross allowed people to sample food and meet the faces of the local restaurants participating in Flavor Palm Beach. The idea is to encourage people to visit local venues, offering a variety of great dishes for an affordable/reduced price - all for a limited time.
